About PortLocals
PortLocals is a platform about ports and ships, made by locals: the people who live or work near a port, or photograph there. For spotters, for crew who want to know what to do ashore, and for everyone who loves the harbour.
It started in IJmuiden as IJmuidenEnzo.nl. Since December 2014 an archive has grown there of 13,248 photos of 6,198 ships, with 5,875 news items. IJmuiden is the first port on PortLocals; more ports will follow as soon as locals join in.
